SO BELOW RUIN

In our recent interview with So Below, we introduced you to her latest release ‘Ruin’, a dance-laced reincarnation of her previously goth-pop sound. Now, the New Zealand talent is following up with a dramatic video to go along with the alternative club track. Directed by repeat collaborator Sam Kristofski, the video runs with underlying sinister tones and a voyeuristic gaze that follows an often blindfolded Madeline North (aka So Below) around a sparsely lit house and its grounds. True to Kristofski’s style, the video is saturated is rich blue and red, while cinematic shots piece together a story of intrigue and tragedy. Almost like a blockbuster film, but condensed down into four minutes and thirty-seven seconds. - HT
